Blackthorn 2020

In the middle of Covid lock-down, the sky is clear and a wonderful blue - no jets overhead. A high pressure system stayed over us long enough for me to get three canvases made gazing into the branches of a blackthorn hedge. The blossoms were full of colours, with the dominant ones being creams and magnolias. Each evening after teaching online, I got about three hours of bliss painting in the spring sunshine.
