Hawthorne near Lissadell.

Painted on location near Lissadell House and beside a hidden castle at Ballinfull, Co. Sligo. The field was overgrown and had not been grazed in a number of years, so there was a real sense of mystery surrounding it. The weight of the blossoms and their brightness was magical.
